Www.DIPFDirectSettlement.com – SIGMA Star Pipe Price-Fixing Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

This settlement actually consists of two partial settlements. One of them is the SIGMA Settlement and the second is the Star Settlement. The total amount of the funds from the two cases is $8,528,750. The allegation is that at any time from January 11, 2008 to June 30, 2011, there was a price fixing conspiracy in the United States. There is also an allegation that at any time from September 17, 2009 to December 31, 2013, there was monopolizaton of the market for the Ductile Iron Pile Fittings or DIPF.  As a result, people ended up paying more than they should for the products. The defendants have denied any wrong doing.

For the SIGMA settlement, there are two classes. One of them is where people bought DIPF directly from the defendants. They would have bought these products at any time from January 11, 2008 to June 30, 2011. The second class is where people bought Domestic DIPF directly from McWane or SIGMA. This should have occurred at any time from September 17, 2009 to December 31, 2013. For the Star Settlement, there is only one class. This is for all those who bought DIPF directly from any defendant. This should have occurred at any time between January 11, 2008 to June 30, 2011.
